Did you know there are 300+ different sign languages that people are using around the world? 🌎

Fun fact: While the U.S.🇺🇸 and England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 both speak English, but our sign languages are completely different! Here we use ASL (American Sign Language), while in England they use BSL (British Sign Language).

A lizard found its way into our preschool classroom. A teacher managed to catch him and put him into a bug box so our students could take a look. He was safely returned to his home outdoors after the viewing session.

September is Deaf Awareness Month 🧏‍♂️💚💛
Did you know the football huddle was born at Gallaudet University back in 1894?
Quarterback Paul Hubbard came up with the idea so opposing deaf school teams couldn’t see his signed plays. That season, Gallaudet circled up for the first time and the huddle has been part of football ever since! 🏈 Very cool, right?!

Our speech pathologists stopped by preschool this week to lead a social skills group with our youngest learners. The kids had such a great time practicing and learning together! 💚💛We still have open preschool spots available for hearing, hard of hearing, and Deaf children.
