In Ms. Kindra's class, students use their skills to review short vowel sounds while reading a silly story! Each student took a turn reading their sentence and circling the short vowels, which they then read aloud to their friends. 📚📝⭕️

Our students are back out at their work placements. They enjoy the variety of work tasks at the Acres!

Our kindergarten student is ready to teach you how to sign different expressions using facial movements! In the Deaf community, facial expressions are an essential part of communication. While hearing people use vocal tones, we use facial expressions to convey meaning and emotion. ☺️
Enjoy learning with our 1st grader and see how important expressions are in signing! 🤟

🙏🇺🇸 Today marks 23 years since the loss of nearly 3,000 innocent lives. Let’s take a moment to pray and reflect on all the families and loved ones who were affected. We will never forget.

Our Digital Media students work hard organizing photos by size, color, and black-and-white and sorting them into groups like staff and students. We’re excited to see more pictures, scan, and add them to our archive! Here are the 4x6 photos!

The cooler weather today was perfect for outdoor play! Our preschoolers had some fun blowing bubbles during recess just before lunch. Check out these cute photos of their joy-filled moments! 🫧🫧😎

🥵🍧 Last week, the extreme heat was challenging, even with our AC. Our old SRS building worked hard to keep us cool, but President Angie and Principal Natalie stepped in to make the day better. They handed out popsicles to students and staff, which made a big difference and helped everyone stay refreshed and focused. Thank you, Angie and Natalie!
