Today is #throwbackthursday. While searching through our archive room, we discovered an old photograph representing leaders from Schools for the Deaf nationwide. It didn't say what year, but the photo was taken at The Western Pennsylvania School For The Deaf. A picture size 13X10. It would be cool to take a picture together with our current leaders, both present and past. Yesterday, our students had a fantastic opportunity to tour the National Weather Service (NWS) office in Wilmington, OH. 🌡️⛈️🌤️❅ They communicated with the meteorologists and learned about how scientists work together to provide weather services for the public. This experience was an excellent way for them to expand their classroom learning, and we are grateful to the US National Weather Service Wilmington for allowing us to visit! #learningoutsideoftheclassroom #weatherawareness #wilmingtonohio

In the fall of 2023, our high school student named London wrote a song called "Love Letter" 💌. He was later invited to Timeless Recording Studio, where he learned about beats and rhythm and recorded his voice in the booth. 🎤🎧 This experience allowed London to hear his voice being recorded and brought his song to life. Later, Local Channel 5 with Megan Mitchell, 12, and 19 came to interview London. Keep an eye out for this interview on one of those channels tonight.
