Spirit Week – Inside Out Day! Last week we celebrated Spirit Week, and one of our fun themes was Inside Out Day! Students, staff, and teachers wore colors that matched the emotions from the movie and showed off their best facial expressions. Slime + ASL = So Much Fun! Last week, we welcomed special guests from Xavier University's ASL program to St. Rita! Xavier students worked with our 3–6 Deaf classes to teach them how to make slime. Our students had a blast creating different colors and textures while following ASL directions. It was wonderful to see communication, learning, and laughter happening all at once. Thank you to the Xavier students for sharing your time and signing skills with our students. We hope to see you again soon!

Ash Wednesday at St. Rita! Today, we gathered as a school family for a beautiful Ash Wednesday Mass. It was wonderful to see our students participate, especially when one of them proclaimed the words of God. Remember the Thanksgiving Food Drive? 🦃A few months ago, we collected over 300 items, which meant one thing… taping our Dean of Students, Mr. Jimmy, to the wall! We finally made it happen last Friday! December was packed, and January was rough, so we waited for the right time, and it was worth it. And yes… the entire school helped tape Mr. Jimmy!

101st Day of School Fun! 🎉 Last week, our K–6 students celebrated the 101st Day of School with a variety of exciting activities throughout the day. One highlight was counting 101 Tootsie Pops and participating in different 101-themed games and challenges! There were smiles, laughter, and lots of learning happening all around.
