🌎♻️ Happy Earth Day from St. Rita! Don’t forget, we have a Clothes Bin right on campus. It is a simple way to recycle clothing, shoes, and textiles while supporting our school. Donate items like clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories. Every pound collected goes back to support our students and programs. Cleaning out your closet? Stop by and drop off your gently used items. Open to families, friends, and the community

Together, we can reduce waste and make a difference

The Gyrobotic Droids, a third year homeschool First Tech Challenge (FCT) robotics team based in West Chester, Ohio, recently visited our STEM club to share their work and experience. The team designs, builds, and programs robots to compete in a collaborative, partnership-based competition against other teams. During their visit, they demonstrated their robots in action and explained the engineering and coding behind them. Our students were highly engaged, they loved the experience, and especially enjoyed the opportunity to get hands-on time driving the robots themselves. Thank you to the Gyrobotic Droids for an inspiring and fun learning experience.

The Daughters of Elias visited St. Rita a month ago to pick up no-sew blankets, hygiene supplies, and food bags that the staff and students organized during Catholic Schools Week. They will pass them out to poor people in the Over-the-Rhine area in Cincinnati. While they were here, they shared their therapy dog, named "Stella", with some of the students and staff. Stella knows how to dance, give high fives, and many other tricks. The students really enjoyed petting her and giving her treats. The Sisters hope to come again in the Fall so more students get the opportunity to meet Stella.

The Daughters of Elias recently visited St. Rita School to pick up blankets, hygiene bags, and food bags that the students and staff put together as part of Catholic Schools Week. While they were here, they met with different grades so the students could enjoy the therapy dog named "Stella"! They got to see her dance and do various tricks. The best part was getting to pet her and give her a lot of treats. The Sisters plan on bringing Stella back in the Fall so more students can enjoy her.

Easter may have passed, but its message stays with us. Our high school students wanted to share this reminder in ASL:

“Be good servants. Use whatever gifts He has given you to serve each other.” – 1 Peter 4:10

A meaningful message of using our gifts with purpose, kindness, and service to others.

One of our staff captured an incredible moment as the new GE Aerospace Boeing 747 flew low over St. Rita School for the Deaf near the GE facility, showcasing its advanced GE9X engines ✈️ The GE9X engines are among the world’s most powerful commercial jet engines, making the moment even more exciting to witness up close.

Moments like this perfectly reflect our theme for this year, Soaring to New Heights 💚 From innovation in the skies to milestones like NASA Artemis II on its journey home around the moon, it is a powerful reminder of what is possible.

At St. Rita, we continue to inspire our students to dream big, reach higher, and soar beyond limits.
