💚 In Loving Memory of Chuck Walker💛 It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Chuck Walker, a beloved former teacher and longtime baseball, football, and basketball coach at St. Rita School for the Deaf.

Chuck dedicated many years to our students, our teams, and our community. He was a proud father of 3, a trusted colleague, and someone who brought joy, strength, and heart into everything he did.
We are deeply grateful for his service to St. Rita. His impact lives on in the countless students he taught and the athletes he coached. He will be truly missed.

🦃 St. Rita Thanksgiving Food Drive! As we enter the season of gratitude, St. Rita School for the Deaf is coming together to support families in need through our Thanksgiving Food Drive!
We are collecting canned and non-perishable food items to help provide Thanksgiving meals for families in our community. Every donation matters big or small. Popular items include: instant mashed potatoes, canned vegetables, boxed stuffing, cranberry sauce, canned fruit, gravy, cornbread, pasta, and soups.
If you’d like to donate a gift card for a fresh turkey, please hand it directly to me rather than leaving it in the lobby.

Student Prizes
150 items: Out of uniform day
200 items: Ice cream social
250 items: Silly string the staff
300 items: Duct tape Jimmy to the wall!

Donations accepted through Thursday, November 20
Drop-off location: Front Lobby

To make it extra fun, students will work together as one school to hit milestone goals. Check out the “Turkey Tracker” in the lobby. We’ll add feathers each time they reach a new milestone!

📸🍂 Digital Media Class Outdoors! Last week, our Digital Media students took their cameras outside to capture photos of bugs, trees, and nature. They practiced manually adjusting exposure, aperture, and shutter speed. No automatic settings allowed! It was a beautiful fall day for learning and creativity. 💚💛
