Today, the St. Rita School for the Deaf community joins the Deaf community in mourning the passing of Deaf actress Kaylee Hottle, best known for her roles in Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.

Kaylee inspired countless Deaf children by showing the world what is possible through talent, confidence, and pride in being Deaf. Her legacy will continue to inspire our students and future generations.

Please join us in praying for Kaylee's family, the Deaf community in Texas, the Texas School for the Deaf, where she was a senior, and all whose lives she touched.

Rest in peace, Kaylee. Your legacy will never be forgotten.

Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year! This year, we are excited to introduce our new school theme: Better Together.
At St. Rita School for the Deaf, we believe we are stronger when we learn, support, encourage, and serve one another. Together, we can accomplish more than we ever could alone. Whether in the classroom, on the playground, at home, or throughout our community, every person plays an important role in helping each other succeed.

As we begin this new school year, we are reminded of God's Word:
"So no matter what your task is, work hard. Always do your best as the Lord's servant..."
Colossians 3:23

Let's make this a year of teamwork, kindness, growth, and faith because we are Better Together.
